What is Medical Imaging?

Medical imaging is very important in the health field, just as are the medical imaging supplies needed to support this profession. But, what exactly is medical imaging? The answer is that it is a variety of techniques that are used in order to take images of the body or parts of the body for medical purposes. These purposes include diagnosing, examining, or detecting a disease or other health problem. Medical imaging includes radiology, endoscopy, radiological science, thermography, microscopy, and medical photography. In some instances techniques like magentoencephalography and electroencephalography, EEG, are included as medical imaging. Typically, radiology is considered the most prominent of all these and it is commonly referred to as clinical imaging. The person that takes the image and then interprets them is known as a radiologist. When it comes to radiology and medical imaging in general there are a lot of supplies that are necessary. These are frequently referred to as medical surgical supplies or simply medical supplies. Generally, when individuals need an X-ray, MRI, or other type of imaging they will be sent to the hospital’s imaging or radiology department
